Mid-Year Receipt Check-In: How’s it going??
One thing you and I can agree on is how much receipts are an absolute pain.
They are time-consuming and require too much focus and attention you may not have. But here I am, delivering to you on a silver platter: Tips on how to manage your receipts.
First and foremost, I want to start with the most important thing; trigger warning, this might get a little too loud: TAKE A PICTURE IMMEDIATELY UPON PURCHASE. I can not stress enough how important this is. Keeping a record of your receipts is the best and only way to ensure every cent is documented. Instead of having a bunch of random undocumented receipts on your phone, QuickBooks is a great way to keep track of your receipts.

You can take a receipt picture on Quickbooks and automatically tag it in the software.
Now you might be thinking, “what about online orders?” Well, that's a great question and a good one, for that matter. In the world we live in today, online orders are becoming more prominent. Good news; All you have to do is tag the email with the receipt, and once a month, you download it to a folder in your files. While you should do it immediately, once a month is a great place to start.
